Interior Mahogany...looking amazing now

Weather is getting better, covid vaccines are being distributed and the lake is calling. I've been making some serious progress over the past couple of weeks and starting to get close to the finish.

Now that the paint is all on, time to get the new mahogany interior & hardware installed. I purchased this interior Super Sport kit and the new chrome hardware from www.specialtymarine.com. It was super easy and fast to ship to Canada. Here's the link to the kit: https://www.specialtymarine.com/collections/mahogany-interiors-parts/products/boston-whaler-13-super-sport-mahogany-wood-interior-1958-1976

Installation was pretty straight forwards with the instructions provided: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0070/5337/7654/files/Super_Sport_Instructions_BW.pdf?1276

I did deviate slightly from the instructions in a couple of different spots. I moved the rear seat up towards the centre of the boat by 4.5". It measures 26.5" from the water well, as opposed to the 22" recommended. I think this will allow the boat to ride better with a bigger, heavier engine installed. In addition, I added a small clasp to the front hatch, for general ease of opening.

Next up is getting the rub rail and lights installed...oh and back on to the trailer to get the engine mounted.
